Senior Science Advisor at Tutor Associates

What started as tutoring high school and middle school kids in math, science, and test prep has turned into so much more.  I tutor kids anywhere from the Upper East Side to Dubai on a daily basis! While I still tutor a ton, I also am responsible for coordinating all of the training for new hires and experienced tutors at TA, as well as running our science training program.  I also participate in the hiring committee, which means I'm always on the look out for new great tutors!

WHAT SHE DOES FOR LOVE: I crochet for fun and for work! I have assisted Nathan Vincent, an amazing artist, on several of his projects.  It's always amazing to see what he's dreamed up and even more fun to execute his designs.  It's hilarious to think about, but crochet was the first job I landed in NYC.

HER STYLE: My first major splurge was the Barbour Wool Buttermere coat in tweed. I had been eyeing it up for more than a year before the stars aligned (read: sale + tax return).  Being a craftswoman myself, I can't help but appreciate the attention to detail put into [that] coat.  I always feel polished (and cozy!) when I travel around the city and will enjoy it for many years to come.

HER 2015 GOAL: Travel more! I tend to be too much all work, no play and now that my job is more established, I want to take advantage of it.

A LADY SHE ADMIRES: My mom, obviously. She raised five awesome women and made it look easy.  I credit her for many of my accomplishments and still constantly seek out her advice.
