Digital Director at W Magazine
WHAT SHE DOES FOR LOVE: "Read magazines, novels, and news; eat just about anything; and travel, both domestically and internationally."
HER STYLE: "My favorite piece is a black pebbled leather handbag from Rochas. I carry it every day--and it goes with just about everything! If it doesn't, there's something wrong with the outfit, not the bag."
HOW HAS YOUR STYLE EVOLVED? "I used to only wear dresses--like from birth through college. Recently, though, I've embraced the pant. There's something that feels so modern about an unfussy pair of jeans or trousers that skirts and dresses have become relegated to the back of my closet."
SARAH'S STYLE RULES: "Never wear an identifiable It piece or something with overt external branding--it will only make you look dated. Only wear shoes you can walk in (sub rule: learn how to walk in heels). When in doubt go for a monochromatic ensemble--it will make you look both put together and taller!"
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE BRANDS? "Thakoon, Carven, Rochas, and 3.1 Phillip Lim for clothes; Rag and Bone for jeans; COS, Zara, and Maje for more affordable, seasonal pieces; and hints of vintage to polish it all off!"
HER BEAUTY: "Skincare is everything, less is more when it comes to makeup. Some of my favorite beauty products are Cetaphil face wash, Dr. Jart masks, Bare Minerals matte powder foundation, hourglass primer, by terry blush, Original and Mineral hydrating shampoo and conditioner."
HER 2015 GOAL: "My goal for 2015 is to try more new things--eating at new restaurants, working out in a new class, or wearing new fashion designers. Also, to not fuck the good things up."
