Deputy Art Director at Time Out New York.

"I'm a Deputy. I deputize."

WHAT SHE DOES FOR LOVE: "Explore—as near as a neighborhood I haven't walked every block of yet, as far as an inactive volcano in a jungle."

HER STYLE + BEAUTY: "NARS Lana lipstick. Time is precious; I don't like the idea of those minutes of applying an entire face of makeup every single day adding up to years of wasted time. Most days (save for bitter winter), I feel very comfortable just swiping on a single-stroke of this gorgeous warm red. A good lip color will make any face look effortlessly composed."

HER 2015 GOAL: Learn to let go. Refocus the positive lens. Buy a Moog.

A LADY SHE ADMIRES: "Amy Poehler. She really seems like she has it all figured out... and she's wonderful enough to share her wit and wisdom with the rest of us -- go watch Smart Girls, now."

"As much as I love exploring, more often than not, I have to challenge myself (or, be convinced) to go a bit further outside my comfort zone to really get the most out of the experience. When on our honeymoon in St. Lucia, [my husband] Tom wanted to climb Gros Peton—a 4-hour hike with a dauntingly steep climb for half the trek—while I would've preferred to... not do that. I didn't think I could; it was hot, sweaty, painful, incredibly difficult. But I did it, and I enjoyed it. This photo is a reminder to push myself not only out of my comfort zone, but to not automatically see things through a negative lens. The result is worth it." - Sarah Williams
