WHAT SHE DOES FOR LOVE: Develop confidence affirming content & events for women

LADIES SHE ADMIRES: Brandice Daniel because she is a "do-er" and has always been an incredible woman who's explored the depths of herself, and has made representation a huge part of her business and testimony.

HER GOALS: Short Term: Consistent pursual of optimal health, which ultimately will result in some weight loss, and increased healthy habits. Long Term: Buying a home, accruing wealth & resources, having a family of my own.

RECOMMENDATIONS IN HER CITY: I love Urban Vegan Kitchen in Manhattan. A woman, Pamela, owns it [as well as] Blossom and a new chocolate spot, Cocoa V - she's a boss! The Schomburg Museum is a gem in Harlem. It's an easy walk thru and you learn so much that's absolutely relevant to right now, not just then.

What did being a part of the TFTT project mean to you?

Inclusion and representation. I loved that Seher saw its cultural significance and as a creative brought us together. That's called "being seen". As marginalized communities, we often speak to each other, but to have someone who may not share all the identities we do [who is] able to recognize that this is a sacred space and cultivate the space to feel safe sharing that energy, is powerful. I love Seher for this.

What advice would you give to women who are struggling to find their seat that the table?

Know that you belong, but the trick is finding how you belong. If you fight so hard to get to the table, you must remember what you can accomplish by using your voice and find the strength in that.

What is one thing you do every morning/night that makes your day feel complete?

Meditate, and give thanks to God for my blessings.

When and/or where do you feel most energized?

When I'm at Shadowbox - my gym - and when I'm in the zone with work.

What is your favorite thing about your workspace?

The sunlight that comes in.

What is one challenge in your job/day? And what is one thing you look forward to?

Managing expectations, and my own ego. I look forward to bigger bank accounts.

What keeps you focused or inspired?

Knowing that my life is comprised of my decisions, so in the present I try to ensure that I'm making decisions that have a positive trajectory for my success.

What do you do or who do you turn to when you need creative inspiration?

I sing and I write.

How do you build yourself up after self-doubt or adversity?

I listen. I listen to myself, the universe, and run to my tribe of loved ones to help me remember who I am, what I stand for and why that moment of self-doubt will pass.

What is a challenge you've overcome, personally or professionally, to get to where you are today?

I had a bad habit of giving out the title of "friends" to the wrong people, and allowing people my time, my energy, etc with no return on that investment. I'm now careful [to] whom I give that energy and in managing my own energy in the relationship.

What has been your biggest sacrifice?

Leaving the comforts of a 9-5 to pursue my dreams.

What does success mean to you?

Freedom and access in all things.

What makes 'It' "worth it"? Why do you do what you do?

Knowing that I can create my reality and inspire others to do so as well.
