WHAT SHE DOES FOR LOVE: "[I love] working with kids; going to see some bands play live -- not only listening, but seeing music is such an amazing experience; being an unofficial food critic -- find me on Yelp; watching films and exploring art museums/galleries!"
HER 2015 GOAL: "Keep my head high and don't let work stress me out as much, which I think will naturally happen, since I'll be moving into my child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship. Finally working with the population I wanted to work with will lessen that stress."
A LADY SHE ADMIRES: "Ms. Katie Clary!"
NOMINATED BY: Abbie Klenzman
WHY SHE'S A LADY GUN: "She is the hippest doctor I know! On top of taking care of people around the world, she's one of my oldest friends and took care of [my son] Cassidy (and lived with us) for his first 6 months. Somehow, her MD wasn't enough and she also had to get her MPH and MBA as well. All this and she still has her pulse on what's hip and cool in music, fashion, and art. She's incredible! And so deserving to be a Lady Gun! I seriously don't know how she does it!"
HER INITIAL REACTION TO HER LADY GUNS NOMINATION: "To be honest, Abbie told me she was nominating me for it before I got this email and my first reaction was 'what's that?' Once I did research I was totally honored and flattered, then when I opened up the email and saw the lovely things she said about me, it made me well up a bit. Although Abbie is my BFF, I've never known she thought I was awesome for the things she listed above. She tells me I'm awesome all the time, but to see it in writing is a whole different kind of compliment! So yeah, still honored and flattered!"
